Ambasciata d’Italia a Belgrado. La regina delle Ambasciate

Antonio Zanardi Landi, L’Ambasciata d’Italia a Belgrado e gli edifici italiani in Serbia e Montenegro (Casa editrice Draganic, Belgrado, 2005, pp. 113). Il volume è soprattutto dedicato all’edificio che ospita l’Ambasciata d’Italia che si trova in Bircaninova Ulica, 9, costruita tra il 1924 ed il 1926. Il palazzo presenta un’architettura eclettica, con reminiscenza rinascimentali, manieristiche e persino barocche. Nel libro vengono anche descritti brevemente altri edifici italiani che si trovano in Serbia e Montenegro quali il Palazzo d’Italia e la Legazione d’Italia a Cetinje.

E’ un libro fotografico che celebra i novanta anni dalla costruzione dell’edificio (1926 – 2016), proponendosi di valorizzare la storia dei rapporti tra i due Paesi, attraverso l’illustrazione di un luogo e della sua vita, della relazione tra valori simbolici e attività funzionali dentro e fuori dell’edificio che ha segnato  la presenza italiana in Serbia.
